The wood used to produce these bookmarks are free from chemicals, and upcycles the byproducts of logs from foresters who follow sustainable yield harvesting methods. The process to make these eco wood bookmarks ultra thin is more involved than merely carving or sawing. Slicing the wood thinly forms a thin layer of wood cut from a log. The primary difference with solid wood is that solid wood is sawn from a log which produces more waste than when cutting thinly. In other words, processing a log this way maximizes the added value that can be obtained from a log and produces less waste. All eco wood bookmarks are Made in the USA. The nature of the wood utilized in the creation of these items may produce minor variations in edging and sizing. Bookmarks may also have a slight color variation and their own unique grain pattern as they are created from 100% real wood. Product should be kept in dry environments as radical changes in humidity, wetness and moisture causes wood and wood products like paper to expand naturally and curl. Should this happen, simply bend it gently back in the opposite direction and put inside a book to flatten out. Like your book, store in dry and non-humid environments.
